As the crowd increased after the healing of the mute man, Jesus continues to address the clear divide in response to His miracles and ministry. He returns to a familiar parable of a lamp on a stand, which illustrates the very public nature of Christ's teaching and a challenge to those who follow him to do likewise. Then he notes that the eye is the means of allowing light or darkness into the body, so be careful of what you engage.
