Christ's teaching is abruptly halted by a response from the crowd, when a man calls out for Jesus to serve as arbiter of a family inheritance issue. Again Jesus declines to get in the center of a family squabble, yet points out the central issue...greed. He then shares a parable of a rich man who is blessed beyond mesasure and is only concerned with his own status in life.
