Luke: A Gentile’s Chronicle of Christ 67

Jesus is approached by Pharisses who warn about a plot by Herod to kill him. Instead of leaving, Jesus tells them to inform Herod that he will continue to heal and cast out demons until his ministry time is completed. Then he will arrive in Jerusalem where the OT prophets were likewise put to death for speaking the word of God. Jesus then laments the unwillingness of Jerusalem to come to him and foretells the future desolation of the city.
