Psalm 2:1-12; Peace is the theme of the 2nd week of Advent. In keeping with our focus on messianic prophesies in the Book of Psalms, we unpacked David’s inspired insights on the “two paths”. The way of rebellion, autonomy and war results from the unrepentant heart of sinful earthly leaders. The Way of God is revealed in the arrival of His anointed…..the king who was installed on the throne of Zion and identified as the Son.
As always it makes me feel closer to my church on the county line, to hear the Word and share in a way with y’all. Indeed, to wonder if we were there when Jesus walked the Earth in physical form, which path would we have chosen? Split on party lines? Jesus came in peace and Spirit to reach his children. Not the Warrior the Hebrew people were looking for. You can’t find something you’re not looking for unless you are drawn to it, or trip over it…. They will see a Warrior; when He returns… Will they finally have their eyes opened?
We will know for sure on the other side of heaven.
God bless and hugs to my church family there
They missed it indeed. Jesus came in love and Spirit when he came the first time. The Hebrew nation was looking for a Warrior… you can’t find something you aren’t looking for unless you are drawn to it or trip over it… When He returns, they will find a Warrior… will it be one last chance for them? Or too late? We will know when we reach the other side of heaven. Scripture gives us an idea.. Party lines pale in the comparison..
God bless
