Luke 2:25-35; Advent season doesn’t abruptly conclude with Luke’s birth narrative and the shepherd’s visit. A short time after Christ’s birth, Joeeph and Mary took him to the temple in Jerusalem to fulfill the mandates of the Mosaic law. Unknown by them, the Holy Spirit had prompted an elderly man by the name of Simeon to intersect their path and bless them. The arrival of God’s Messiah continued to impact a greater number of lives in Israel, not to mention the founding of the Church.
