Numbers 10:11-13, 29-36; Resuming our ongoing Light and Darkness series with a Responsive Reading from Leviticus 26 and an overview of the early portion of Numbers. After a year of instruction and healing at the base of Mt. Sinai, Yahweh-God instructs Moses to get the Hebrew people prepared to move towards the Promised Land. The pillar of cloud and ark of the covenant are visible signs of the LORD’s presence as they travel a short distance deeper into the wilderness of Sinai.
