Luke 11:5-13; Jesus continues His teaching on prayer by giving two short parables, The first entails a man who approaches his neighbor at midnight because he has unexpcted guests and no food in the house. The neighbor is displeased with the disruption, but gives the man the loaves of bread he requested because of his persistence. The second parable concerns a child asking their parent for food and the parent responding with kindness rather than with a snake or scorpion. The point of both parables is the goodness of God in answering prayer.
