Revelation 9:1-6; Following the warning of the airborn eagle crying “Woe, woe woe”, John observes the 5th angel sounding his trumpet. What the apostle described as “a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth”, is clearly a spiritual being who is given keys to the Abyss. The pit of hell was opened and dark smoke bellowed forth, followed by a demonic horde resembling locust. These hellish locust were not allowed to harm any form of plant life, but rather to sting anyone without the seal of God like a painful scorpion. Things are going from bad to worse for the rebellious earth-dwellers.
