Galatians 5:16-26; Those who receive Jesus as Lord and Savior through the gift of faith and grace of God have two competing inner natures. The old sin nature that every human being inherited from Adam, and the “new man” that is empowered by the indwelling Holy Spirit. The Apostle Paul refers to behavior controlled by the sin nature as “acts of the flesh” and those guided by Christ as “Fruit of the Spirit”. The initial fruit of a believer comes from inner changes in thinking and attitudes which arise from inner transformation as a “new creation” in Christ. Which nature is most dominant determines if a believer is abiding “in me” or a dead branch that is unfruitful.
Thank you. The Word presented in truth and accuracy is like a well drawn bow and arrow.. It hits the mark. It doesn’t rely on what you think or want; it’s what you know and have practiced until it becomes instinct. Indeed our Christian walk, our sanctification, should be as defined….
