Luke 19:11-27; Having established the biblical foundations of fruitfulness as a follower of Christ, week five unpacked a parable of Jesus contrasting those who obey His oommands and those who do not. In the Parable of the Ten Minas, Jesus affirms His eventual return to earth with a word picture of ten sevants who are given a generous sum to invest in His absence. When the King returns, He will require His servants to personally account for their increase. Two examples of positive increase are cited, then the balance of the parable shifts to the unfaithful servant who clearly doesn’t know the King or His ways. Judgement instead of rewards is the results.
