With the Tabernacle and furnishings completed, Yahweh meets with Moses in the new tent of meetings to instruct Israel on how to properly conduct offerings and sacrifices. Burnt offerings are the first type to be described in detail, for atonement of sin to restore and right relationship with the LORD. The worshipper is an active participant in the sacrificial process, which is intense and graphic.
