Luke: A Gentile’s Chronicle of Christ 45

Following Christ's instruction by parable to the Jewish legal expert about loving one's neighbors, another well known gospel story is shared by Luke. Sisters Martha and Mary are introduced, as Jesus and the disciples are welcomed into Martha's home. While she is bustling about preparing a meal, Mary choses to sit at Jesus' feet in the position of a disciple. Things grow abruptly tense when Martha complains to the Lord that she is working alone and feels her sister should be helping.
