Luke: A Gentile’s Chronicle of Christ 63
Listen to this message
Jesus concludes the long teaching session of Luke 11-12 with another profound warning. The large crowd shares the news that Pilate had killed a number of Galilleans during the sacrifices. Jesus then inquired whether this indicated those killed were worse sinners. He answers His own question by stating that all must repent or face a worse fate. Christ followed with a parable of a vineyard owner finding a fig tree without fruit for three years. He instructed the vinedresser to cut it down, which is a clear warning for those without fruit in their lives.
