Plumbing the Depths of Revelation 10
Listen to this message
Unlike the churches in Smyrna and Philadelphia that were commended by Christ, the final church of the seven in Laodicea was found to have nothing praiseworthy. Instead, the Lord noted they were "lukewarm --neither hot nor cold" and warned "I am about to spit you out of my mouth". Although they viewed their material wealth and affluence as a measure of self-sufficiency, Christ considered them spiritually "wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked". They were instructed to repent and restore fellowship by inviting Jesus back into their lives.
