Plumbing the Depths of Revelation 25

John's encounter with the mighty angel continues, as the voice from heaven who instructed him to seal up the word of the seven thunders, instructs him to take the scroll in the angel's hand. When John requests the scroll, the mighty angel tells him to take and eat it. This somewhat odd sounding instruction is reminicient of Ezekiel 2, during the commissioning of that well known OT prophet. John obeys by consuming the scroll, which tastes like honey but then turns his stomach sour. He is then instructed to prophesy about many peoples, nations, languages and kings.
