Plumbing the Depths of Revelation 36

John nexts sees a vision of "one like a son of man" seated on a white cloud with a sharp sickle in his hand. A directive is given from the temple of heaven through an angel for the son of man to reao the earth. Once that is accomplished, John sees another angel, also with a sharp sickle, who is instructed to likewise harvest the "clusters of grapes" because they too are ripe. The nature of the grape harvest is clearly different from the earlier grain harvest, as the grapes are trampled "in the winepress of God's wrath". The ghastly conclusion of earth's history is unmistakable.
