Chaoters 19-20 wrap up the problem of sin, death and evil in the world with the casting of the beast, false prophet and Satan in the "lake of burning sulfur". Then the great white throne judgement calls to account all those who rejected the gift of grace and faith through the atoning sacrifice of the Lamb on the cross. Next John sees "a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven and first earth had passed away". Continuing in his vision. John sees the "Holy City, the new Jerusalemcoming down out of heaven from God".
