Plumbing the Depths of Revelation 8

Christ's fifthe message to the churches in Asia was addressed to Sardis. Unlike the four previous churches, Jesus had no commendation for Sardis and instead noted, "you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead". The focus of this letter was corrective in nature, as they were told to "Wake up....Remember...Hold it fast...Repent" There were yet a few in Sardis that remained faithful, who "will walk with me, dressed in white"m while the remainder of the congregation had the opporrtunity to change their ways and join the minority....or potentially having their named blotted from the "book of life".
