Luke: A Gentile’s Chronicle of Christ 68

Jesus accepts another invitation to dine at a Pharisee's home on the Sabbath, while being closely watched. A man with Edema is conveniently there, so Christ asks the Pharisees whether it is lawful to heal on the Sabbath. They decline to answer, so he heals the man and asks what they would do if their child or ox fell into a well on the Sabbath. Then Jesus notes how the Pharisees sought to find the best seats at the dinner and taught a lesson on being humble.
