John 6:1-15; Week two of our ‘Gone Fishing’ summer series unpacks the Apostle John’s perspective on the miracle of the feeding of the five thousand. Jesus takes the disciples across the Sea of Galilee to the isolated eastern side for some respite from the constant crowds. However the mass of people soon catch up and have nothing to eat. Jesus asks Philip how to deal with the situation, but knows precisely what is the divine way to proceed. Andrew finds a boy with a small lunch, which Jesus blesses and feeds 10-20 thousand people to the glory of God.
