Luke 8:1-15; Luke begins chapter 8 with acknowledgemant of the women followers of Christ,including their vital role in providing financial support for the ministry. Then he shifts back to the teaching ministry of Jesus with the parable of the four soils. Jesus first shares the parable in public before unpacking the word picture for his disciples.
