Luke 8:49-56; The request of Jairus for Jesus to heal his dying twelve year old daughter was delayed by the sudden appearance of the woman with the bleeding issue. After Jesus called her out of the crowd and talked with her, envoys from the home of Jairus came to relate sad news…his daughter had died. Jesus first encouranged Jairus to have faith, then continued to his home where he encountered a group of mourners. Jesus commanded them to stop and then took Peter, James and John with him to the place where the girl’s body was laid. Her parents came as well and were astonished that Jesus called her spirit back and she stood right up.
