Revelation 14:1-7: With all the darkness on earth during the “great tribulation“, the reader of Revelation should be duly unsettled. However, John receives a series of timely visions to provide comfort and encouragement. First he sees the Lamb standing on Mount Zion and with Him are the 144,000 who have been sealed by the angel of the Lord. This vision is likely near the end of the final 3.6 years and the servants of God have likely been martyred. They are singing a “new song” in heaven before the throne, that only they can learn. Then John sees another angel, coming to earth and proclaiming the “eternal gospel” as a final opportunity for those who are still on the fence about taking the mark of the beast.
