Hebrews 12:4-11; Jesus made it very clear in the ‘Parable of the Ten Minas’ that He expected His servants to be trustworthy and productive until His return. The fate of the unfaithful servant challenges all Christians to be fruitful with the time and talents given by the Lord. But what about those who are not especially self-motivated in bearing “more fruit” or “much fruit” as Christ described in John 15? The writer of Hebrews addresses that theme in chapter 12 on the topic of Divine Discipline.
Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.. I think it follows the same pattern when we know what we are called to do, and keep finding excuses to sidestep… we know and because we resist, we have no peace.. vicious cycle that can only be stopped by repentance and the love of a Holy God… true peace comes from surrender… thank you for your words and doing what you are called to do…
