Ephesians 4:25-32; Paul clearly defines the difference between living “your former way of life“, which he identifies as the “old self“. and putting on the “new self“, which is “created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness“. The apostle lays out several behaviors that do not align with a spirit indwelled believer in Christ, including lying, anger, theft, unwholesome speach and the behavior of a violent and bitter person. Instead, he urges believer to be kind, compassionate and forgiving.
Of all my faults, my temper gets me in more trouble. I speak first then look for ways to repair the damage. Texting at least allows you to proofread and think, then delete…. indeed the tongue is is the hardest to tame. Can inflict pain, but can also uplift, teach, and proclaim joy. Lord
