Luke shifts from the Pharisees to the large crowd contantly following Jesus. Many are there to witness a miracle, rather than committing their lives to following Christ. Jesus addresses the crowd with a powerful statement about the nature of genuinely following Him. Then follows with three word pictures to hammer home the central point.
